What is Yoga Therapy?

Yoga Therapy is a wholistic approach to wellness, customized to each client’s specific needs; sessions may include physical movement or restorative postures, breath practices, meditation, mudras (hand yoga), philosophy, pain management techniques, and/or health education. Yoga Therapy addresses the whole self, instead of focusing on individual parts.

Sessions can be one-on-one or in a small group with a similar focus, such as addressing high blood pressure or cancer recovery. Yoga therapy can be combined with medical model approaches to enhance outcomes. Sessions can be in person or via Zoom or FaceTime. $75/hour, additional charges for travel may apply. Mind, Body, Spirit

My logo, the triple spiral (aka triskele) represents the three aspects of each person: body,  mind, and spirit. Together, these three elements comprise one being; the circle around the spirals signifying the wholeness of each person’s being. This symbol represents my overall approach to wellness, which is that a single component (body, mind, or spirit) cannot be isolated - all three must be addressed to achieve WellBeing.

What Angela’s Students are Saying:

“Angela is highly attuned to the needs of her clients and adapts her instruction to accommodate them. One thing that sets Angela apart from other yoga teachers I’ve studied with is her clear verbal instructions. She explains what to do - and how to do it with good form - and gives clear analogies that help you visualize what to do without needing to watch her.

I look forward to my sessions with Angela not only for the physical benefits, but also the welcoming social aspect. Her classes are comfortable, comforting, and fun. I always leave feeling better off in many ways than when I entered. I have been in Angela’s yoga classes for five years, and am simply amazed at her knowledge, ability, grace, and concern for her students!”
