About Angela

Angela is a Certified Yoga Therapist and teacher with over 35 years of experience. Initially trained as a dancer, Angela shifted her focus from performance to developing a program of movement for chronic pain after a sibling was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis. Through this experience she discovered her passion for helping people in pain, and eventually became a clinical mental health counselor specializing in chronic pain and stress management. Over time Angela discovered  that yoga best suited her holistic approach to wellness and developed specialized yoga programs for people with various health challenges, including Parkinson’s, MS, and cancer. Her work sparked the interest of neurologists and she was invited to participate in two research projects. The first project focused on chronic tension headaches, and for the second she designed a protocol of breath and meditation practices to support lung function for people with ALS, delivered over Zoom. In addition to teaching yoga, she now sees people individually through her yoga therapy practice, The Art of WellBeing.
